No other club in the Pacific Northwest combines the level of excellent facilities, breathtaking environment and first class activities. Having settled in 1896, Waverley’s property is the premier spot for members and their families to enjoy time together. A caring and dedicated staff looks to every detail to ensure a continuance of the reputation Waverley has established over the past century.
Waverley’s historic clubhouse was officially opened to members in its current location on June 7, 1913. Early in 1912, Waverley’s 11th President William MacMaster, proposed a Dutch colonial style clubhouse, nestled on the banks of the majestic Willamette River. He proclaimed that it would be the most gracious and handsome clubhouse anywhere. The project entailed abandoning the current clubhouse, then located near the site of the existing greens maintenance facility and executing a complete rebuild. What resulted was the achievement of great vision. In 1913, Waverley’s now historic clubhouse became a reality.
Today, Waverley’s gracious and handsome clubhouse, riverside pool and tennis court stand as an extraordinary complement to Waverley’s historic and splendid golf course as well as stand as a monument to the vision of its membership.
