Hole Overview

The smallest hole on the course has also received a scale adjustment. The striking nature of the short grass surrounds for the multiple bunkers will be the first thing that captures the golfers’ eye.  However, the most important change comes in the alteration of the green and how it interacts with theses bunkers.  By lowering the slopes feeding into the green we have restored some fascinating hole locations on this wonderfully contoured green.

History

The origin of the historical name “Dinky” is unknown but #14 is one of Waverley's shortest holes.

1981 USGA Women’s Amateur Championship… Playing the final match, Inkster and Goggin created a feeling that they could have played on even terms forever. Having gone 1-up on the 11th, Goggin three-putted the par-3 14th to once again even the match.
